Impressions of Rome

Following on from their study of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, Ms. Taylor’s Art 8 classes learned how to use oil paint in studio after information gathering through en-plein air sketching and on-site photography around the city.

We are impressed with their final work which shows their talent in drawing to scale and their intuitive approach to mixing colour in fresh and new ways while at the same time observing the brushstrokes and textures used by the great masters of the past!
