The Fab Lab Studio Charter sets out the values and expectations that shape our studio culture.
At Marymount, we believe that art is not simply about completing assignments or learning techniques. It is about paying attention, asking questions, taking creative risks, and developing ideas through sustained practice. The charter reflects this belief by framing the studio as a shared working environment where students learn to think and act as artists.
It emphasises responsibility, respect, experimentation, safety, collaboration, and constructive dialogue. More than a list of rules, it is a shared agreement about how we work together and how we support one another’s creative growth.
The charter helps create a studio culture in which curiosity is valued, mistakes are part of learning, and students are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and artistic agency.
